The past week found us with a surprise visit for a week with my Mom, so we had lots of visiting and food and coffee. Lots and lots of coffee. One day I was going to make a pot of chicken noodle soup, but apparently my carrots had a sense of humor...
...and knitting only in the pickup line at my daughters school waiting to pick her up. Would you believe my mom took All of my knitted dishcloths? So now I can justify picking up some new cotton colors to make more.
The tree is just pretty, and I like it. Its one of the huge trees we see when we walk in the mornings. They are several feet around and about 80 to 100 feet tall. I was going to stand in front of this one for a quick photo but the guy who lives here was in his yard and I thought he might think I was crazy so just a quick pic of the roots, which are massive. Don't ya just love the moss? It grows on everything here.
My Mom has 2 small dogs, Sam and Philby. My cat doesn't really like them, more like he tolerates them, but they are cute. They don't fight, but do bark at each other. My floors are hardwood, and neither of them had traction, the fur on their feet prevented that so they looked like tiny fuzz balls running on a treadmill barking and meowing at each other but not touching. It really is funny to see them interact.
Have a good week...I need some yarn therapy.
