I've decided to learn a few new knitting techniques and make something pretty for Fall with a beautiful colorway I found recently. The Camp out Fingerless Mitts by Tante Ehm on Ravelry, I like how they are cast on at the top flat, then grafted and worked top down. A few new techniques. Don't you just love YouTube for that? Provisional cast on is new to me as well as grafting or 3 needle bind off. I've no idea which one I'll do, but grafting seems interesting so maybe I'll go with that, what method do you like to use?
(I tried both and I really, really, really like 3 needle bind off better)
...and here they are! Yay! Just in time for the colder weather we are getting this weekend.
Woohoo! Love'em! To give them a more stretchy bind off edge I used Jenny's Surprisingly stretchy bind off from You Tube.
Have a great weekend!
We'll be partaking of the many fun festivals, until next time....
